LEWIS MOTOR SALES now has a network of 5 dealerships, including Collingwood, North Bay, Barrie, Newmarket and Owen Sound, as well as a standalone lease facility in Markdale. We’re a franchised dealer for International Trucks and Toyota Lift Trucks, and are also part of the North American Idealease Network. Each of our locations has fully equipped Mobile Service vehicles to handle on-site service, whether reefer service or truck repairs. We have over 90,000 sq. ft. of state of the art facilities, a staff of over 140 employees, and also maintain a large fleet of full service lease and rental units. Other product lines carried include Carrier Reefers, CAT, Cummins, and Diesel Rigmaster. We’re committed to fairness and integrity in all of our business transactions. A Brief History of LEWIS MOTOR SALES From humble beginnings…
1941: We began as a small Body & Frame Repair Shop in Collingwood.
We’ve grown…
1963: LEWIS MOTOR SALES was appointed the International Truck Dealer franchise for the area.
1965: A new facility was opened on Hume Street, in Collingwood.
1972: LEWIS became an independent franchisee for Tilden Rentals, (now National Rentals)
1982: LEWIS became an Idealease affiliate.
1974: LEWIS was appointed the Toyota Lift Truck Dealer for the area.
1988… LEWIS expanded into the Barrie market.
1995: A new 35,000 sq. ft. LEWIS dealership was opened on Mapleview Drive in Barrie.
2001: New facilities opened in North Bay and Collingwood, replacing ageing facilities.
2004: A temporary Sales and Service facility was opened in Newmarket.
2006: LEWIS opened a new Leasing and Service facility in Owen Sound.
